This year’s People’s Choice Awards were held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles last night and the stars were again all out in style on the red carpet. Among the gorgeous dresses and faces, Chloe Moretz was the one who caught our attention.

The young star was wearing a beautiful black and green tweed dress from the Proenza Schouler Pre-Fall 2010 Collection, which was very age-appropriate for her. Her shoes, a Dolce & Gabbana Mary Jane pair, was the perfect topping to her look.

What makes the shoes interesting is the PVC trim on the vamp, which is a very modern approach to the classic Mary Jane silhouette. PVC-infused shoes is the new and rising trend for Spring 2012. It has a futuristic and sexy look as it allows for some skin to show. Here’s a closer look at Chloe’s Mary Janes.

Anne Hathaway has been busy trotting the globe these days. Only a few days after she was spotted in Sydney, Australia for the promotion of her movie Love and Other Drugs, Anne was in Oslo on December 11 to host the Nobel Peace Prize Concert with fellow actor Denzel Washington.

For the event, Anne donned an all-black ensemble, displaying a look that’s both decadent and dangerous. See for yourself:

Anne’s look is reminiscent of the quintessential Bond girl–all that was missing was the black thigh holster to complete the effect. And she certainly looked very movie star glamorous with that side-parted curls and shimmering, strapless, black dress with a thigh-high slit. The dress, by the way, is a J Medel, which is part of the designer’s Fall 2010 Collection. The open-toed black mary jane heels, on the other hand, still remain a mystery for I just couldn’t find the exact pair despite careful search.

Well, no worries, though, for Anne Hathaway’s mary jane heels–and her totally stunning look for that matter–are not that difficult to replicate. Take a look at these knockout mary jane heels which are very similar to Anne Hathaway’s:

This was taken last April 2, when Katie and Suri were spotted heading off to Alice’s Tea Cup for dinner.

Suri was looking cute in her piggy slippers, but Katie was a little off on her wardrobe choice. Well, at least that’s what I think.

I actually don’t mind the color combination (tangerine jacket over an orange red or rufous (?) dress), despite it being too warm for my taste. But I find the scarf’s print and color unsuitable for the outfit. I also don’t like the pair of maroon Mary Jane pumps on her feet, it’s a little too dowdy-looking. A sleeker and higher pair in light brown or tan would have looked better.

I wish Katie fixed her hair a little better too; and maybe worn a bit of make up. I know she’s a busy hands-on mom, but some tinted moisturizer and hair product would have helped.

I’m sorry if I’m bashing here. I don’t mean Katie any disrespect. In fact, I love her; I’ve been a fan since Dawson’s Creek. But it would be nice to see her look more put together once in a while. If I had my way, I would ask her to put on the following instead:
