Paris Hilton Dresses for Fall During Summer

Here’s a picture of Paris taken last June 24. Note that it was a sunny day, but check out her outfit.

Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against what she wore, but it is quite strange to see her dressed so darkly (in tights) when the season and weather simply called for light, bright, and breezy. It must have been a really cool sunny day…

Aside from the tights, I also noticed that she paired the whole look with our favorite shoes – classic Mary Jane pumps.

I totally see the reason why. Tights (or nylons) are slippery. Sometimes those classic pumps can slip off while you’re walking so the next best shoes to wear are Mary Janes; the straps will simply keep the shoes in place.

This post is long overdue. It’s like 3 months overdue, but better late than never right? I was meaning to write about it, but then it totally got overlooked. It’s about Ashley Tisdale’s really interesting Mary Jane pumps, the pair she wore to the CW Upfront presentation in New York last May 20.

It’s the chain hanging from the strap that makes it interesting. It sort of reminds me of the back-up door lock that you see in hotels and houses. What do you think?

I’m sure you’ve already heard the news that Zoe Saldana is the new face of Calvin Klein. Hurray to Zoe! I love her; I think she’s beautiful and she totally deserves the campaign.

The Avatar breakout star was spotted at the Calvin Klein show during the SS2011 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week which took place in Berlin early this month. Calvin Klein surely made the right choice in picking Zoe to become its ambassador because she looked stunning in the cutout dress and platform Mary Jane pumps that were from the brand’s 2011 Resort Collection.

The dress I like, but the shoes I definitely love. I love how clean, classy, and sleek it looks.

I couldn’t find the style online so I’m guessing it isn’t out yet. I’m also pretty sure it is expensive so I decided to find a close substitute. Which one do you think would you go for? And I mean buy and wear. I’m kind of leaning towards the Steve Madden. I just love the toe part; I love that it’s slightly (just slightly) chunky but also sleek; and the material is just right – not too textured, nor too matte, nor too shiny. The fact that it’s the most affordable among the four (4) is actually just a plus.

Victoria Beckham does not only travel in style via a private jet, but also travels in heels. Brian Atwood mary jane platform pumps to be exact.

I’m sorry, I just can’t help but be amazed. I don’t know how she does it. Those Brian Atwood mary janes are probably at least 4 inches high but she walked down those stairs with such ease and poise.

Whenever I travel, I make it a point to always wear comfortable shoes, flat ones for that matter because I don’t want to end up tripping, sliding, or with sore feet. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that she’s used to it. Victoria Beckham practically lives in her high heels. Rarely do we see her in flats, after all.

That aside, Victoria’s travel style is quite notable. I love the sunny yellow dress. It’s so perfect for the season. But it is an outfit that most women would probably wear to dressier occasions, not while traveling.
