One of the reasons why girls love watching Gossip Girl is the show’s uber-stylish wardrobe. The hit show is always updated with the latest trends and their cast members seem to have first dibs on the hottest fashion items. Leighton Meester looked lovely as ever at a recent promo event of her new film Country Song. Take a look:

Gossip Girl‘s Blair Waldorf appeared at a stop on the movie’s promo tour, looking delicately pretty in a Derek Lam dress and Miu Miu mary janes. Minimal glittery accessories completed her ladylike look.

So what piece of Leighton’s ensemble are you crushing on this time? Is it her dainty Derek Lam dress? Or her magnificent Miu Miu mary janes? As for me, I go for both. I love the dress since it’s simple yet elegant-looking, and I’m digging the mary janes because they’re very edgy. The studs on them are so sleek and they give the mary jane style a new dimension. Leighton Meester stayed true to her fashionista roots at the Special Screening of Country Song at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Beverly Hills, LA. Take a look:

Leighton appeared for the event looking ready for spring in a dress by Christian Dior, and sorbet-colored wedges by Pierre Hardy. A marquis cut gemstone ring and gold bangle bracelet, both from Cathy Waterman, made the pretty finishing touches.

Do you like Leighton’s festive look? I do. It’s an uncommon spectacle during winter’s red carpet scene, but it’s refreshing nonetheless. We could use a couple more of Leighton’s perky red carpet look, don’t you think so?

As for Leighton’s shoes, do you like them? I find it lovely and playful with its bright colors and edgy design. It’s from the Spring Summer 2011 Collection of Pierre Hardy, and it looks like this up close:
