The Blowfish Sheldon, Hot or Not?

Ok, granted these mary jane booties from Blowfish are fall worthy, what I’d like to know next is whether anyone (normal) would want to wear them. I know I would be a little hesitant to do so. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I don’t like it, or that it’s undesirable, it’s more because it would not suit my very short frame and short legs.

It is quite tricky to wear. If you’re a short person like me, you’ll need a really short outfit to be able to pull off a pair. OR, you can just wear black tights (with the black set, of course) with it and it will look like any other pair of booties.

Let’s have another round of battle today, and like the last one, this is about another pair from Lanvin – the Lanvin Mesh Wedges, as seen on the feet of the models below from the Lanvin Spring 2011 runway.

Blond actress number 1 – Rachel McAdams was spotted wearing her Lanvin Mesh Wedges while attending the premiere of her new movie, Morning Glory, in New York last November 7. Rachel paired her see through wedges with a form fitting and shirred strapless dress:

A day after, blond actress number 2 was spotted with the same pair of shoes – Gwyneth Paltrow. Ms. Paltrow paired her Lanvin wedges with an equally beautiful cutout dress complete with mesh insets while attending the premiere of her new movie, Country Song .

Let’s do a quick round of fashion face-off today. It’s between fierce and fabulous Rihanna and former Disney Queen Hilary Duff. Both ladies were spotted with similar styles of Lanvin Ankle Strap Pumps. Not the same style, but similar, and both in Nude color.

Hilary wore her Lanvin Chain Anklet Pumps with an LBD while shopping at the Gucci store four months ago. Ri-Ri on the other hand, went a little more casual by pairing her Lanvin Ankle Strap d’Orsay Pumps with skinnies, a leopard print scarf, and a chambray shirt while out and about in New York last September.

Would You Wear the Gee WaWa Femme Ankle Strap Platform Pumps?

Hello ladies, I thought I might ask you a quick question today. I found these interesting set of shoes while browsing through Endless.

Take a look at these Gee WaWa Femme Ankle Strap Pumps. It comes with 2.5 inch thick platforms and heels that go at about 5 inches. Granted that the pair looks really odd and chunky, would you be curious enough to wear it? It runs at an an accessible US$220.

I truly wonder how they would look on the feet. And I also wonder if they’re really heavy or light. Endless has only one (1) feedback for these shoes and it is interestingly a positive one – 4 out of 5 stars.

Rachel Bilson in Christian Dior Triple Buckle Pumps

I’m sorry if this post is quite delayed. But then again, better late then never, right?

Today is all about Rachel Bilson’s Christian Dior Triple Buckle Pumps. The former OC actress was spotted wearing it to the Christian Dior Show during Paris Fashion Week early last month (October 1). She paired the strappy pumps with an equally beautiful Dior dress and topped it with a dinner jacket. Altogether, Rachel looked stunning that day. Here’s a pic.

For someone so tiny, I am actually quite surprised that she didn’t look short. After all, straps have a tendency to shorten the legs; it’s a good thing hers were thin enough to withstand it.

I couldn’t find any pictures of Rachel’s Triple Buckle Pumps, but this Christian Dior Multi-Strap Peep Toe is a close sister so you can basically picture how the pumps will look up close:

Copying The Veronicas’ Gothic Appeal

Talented singing duo, the Veronicas, unveiled their anti-fur PETA ad campaign the other week (October 25). Although I could truly appreciate their cause, what I noticed were their outfits.

The two wore matching shirts and leggings, but opted for a twist in their choice of skirts and shoes. Lisa opted for a black mini and patent peep toe platform sandals while her twin Jess went for a long sheer skirt and classic platform Mary Jane pumps.

I have to admit, I find their outfits really cute. It’s bordering on gothic, but still cute. I don’t know what brands of shoes the two sisters are wearing, but how about we copy both looks?

Vintage Appeal: ALDO Piller T-Strap Pumps

Here’s a pair that truly emanates vintage appeal – the ALDO Piller T Strap Pumps. It reminds me so much of the 20s and 30s era when flapper girls starting wearing the T-strap silhouette.

Everything about this pair hints of that era, from the thick heels to the short put pointed narrow front, to the thick platforms. The silhouette may not be so common now, but combine that with the dressy black suede material it is made of and you have a sure winner.
