There have been mixed reactions to a unique and, some say, bizarre type of Mary Janes that’s part of Prada’s runway collection. Boots usually aren’t Mary Janes, and Mary Janes usually aren’t boots. But the Bi-Color Python Mary Jane Boot is both.
The Bi-Color Python Mary Jane Boot is made of nero and roccia python and has a pointed toe, a strap with buckle detail, and a 4 1/2 covered heel. It’s sold at Neiman Marcus.
Prada Bi-Color Python Mary Jane Boot, $2400.00
No, that’s not a typo. The Python Mary Jane Boot really costs $2400. But you can’t be that surprised. It’s Prada, after all!
It’s certainly different, but we do like it. We understand if you don’t, though. This is the kind of Mary Jane that has to grow on you. It also can’t be matched with just any outfit. If you say “Yay” to it, you should find a dress to go with it.
Here are a couple of ideas:
Blumarine Ruffled Python-Print Dress, $1515.00
Torn Python-Print Sheath Dress, $312.00
We think the Prada Python Mary Jane Boot will look good with either of these dresses, which are also sold at Neiman Marcus. What do you think? Do you agree with us? And if you do, are you willing to break the bank to get the Mary Jane boot and/or the dresses?
