All three are wearing Mary Janes!

It looks like the show’s costume designer was in Mary Jane mode when she dressed up these three for the scene.

The designer chose a pair of retro-inspired printed Mary Jane Wedge Pumps for America Ferrera’s Betty; a pair of black classic heeled Mary Jane pumps for Becki’s Amanda; and although she chose a pair of Mary Jane inspired knee-high boots for Ana Ortiz’s Hilda character, those knee-high numbers definitely look like Mary Janes with a million straps from afar.

Now among the three Ugly Betty characters, whose Mary Jane style do you like best?

I took the liberty of picking out more Mary Jane shoe styles that would probably suit each of the character’s persona based on this scene. Let me know what you think of my choices.
